The Corkery Endowment Travel Award provides funding for travel to and registration at a national or international meeting of an appropriate professional society for physicians in fellowships or secondary training in specialties caring for children. Funds are intended to supplement or provide travel funding when no or insufficient department or divisional funding is available.
To be eligible, the applicant must be a current fellow or subspecialty resident who is in a pediatric or pediatric-related training program of the University of Washington School of Medicine and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Persons holding acting instructor/junior faculty positions are not eligible, nor are individuals who do not hold MD degrees.
NOTE: FELLOWS OR SUB-SPECIALTY RESIDENTS WHO ARE PRESENTING AT NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL MEETINGS HAVE PRIORITY.
Applicants should submit their requests for funding from the Corkery Endowment at least three months ahead of anticipated travel, in order to meet the deadlines below.
The maximum amount for support for each applicant is $1250.
