PEDS 647 – Pediatric Clinical Clerkship – Lewiston, ID
Lewiston, Idaho is in the Lewis-Clark Valley. Located at the confluence of the Clearwater and Snake rivers, Lewiston, ID and Clarkston, WA converge, making it the lowest elevation point in the region, only 738 feet above sea level. This results in a mild climate, making outdoor activities possible nearly year-round. Known as the Gateway to Hells Canyon, North America’s deepest river gorge is a must-see while in the area.
The quaint, tree-lined downtowns offer a multitude of interesting shops, historic buildings, and the nearby campus of Lewis-Clark State College, which is home to numerous regional events. Walk or bike along the Snake River trails or take a refreshing break at one of the many city parks. There is plenty to see and do in Lewis-Clark Valley.
