Credentialing<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This site\u00a0requires current TB testing.\u00a0Please ensure you are aware of this and comply with the site\u2019s requirements. The Montana Regional Office <\/strong>will contact you via email approximately 6-8 weeks prior to the start of your clerkship, so to complete required credentialing documentation. If you have any questions, please contact Judi Sullivan<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Housing<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are provided a fully furnished, two bedroom\/two bath, town-house style apartment that overlooks the Capital building. It has wireless internet, washer and dryer, a one car garage and is located within a mile of the clinic, hospital, grocery and other dining and shopping. No pets or candles are allowed in the apartment. This apartment may be shared with another Helena clerkship student at any time and is only suitable for families with advanced approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transportation<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is best to bring a car as transportation is limited. Winter driving conditionals are likely October to March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the city, the Helena Area Transit System (HATS) offers both door-to-door daily service as well as many regularly scheduled stops connecting downtown Helena with the east side of town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schedule<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the clinic, each student will spend one day\/week with each preceptor, in addition to one day per week within sub-specialties, including genetics, outpatient child psychiatry, pediatric cardiology, pediatric ophthalmology, pediatric allergy and pediatric gastrointestinal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within in the inpatient setting, students will participate in morning and evening rounds and Admissions PRN. Call is every 4th<\/sup> night, including weekends and split between the five pediatricians. Students will be assigned to the MD on call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attire + Equipment<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every student needs their own oto-opthalmoscope and stethoscope. White coats and ties are not necessary, but name tags are required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
