Restoration challenge |
The primary goal of the Washington Park Arboretum restoration project was to establish a self-sustaining riparian zone, so that park visitors can experience this once prevalent native ecosystem. |
Restoration approach |
To acheive this goal, UWREN stabilized the stream bank and enhanced water quality by planting a variety of plants representative of this ecosystem. |
