Restoration
Ecology Certificate
UW-REN
offers students from any major the opportunity to obtain
a certificate of academic achievement in restoration ecology,
the Restoration Ecology Certificate (REC). Benefits of the 25
credit certificate are:
-
Allows
students to demonstrate a substantial background in restoration
ecology within the context of their degree program. The REC
is not associated with any particular degree program, and
is awarded to undergraduate matriculated students.
Informs
employers and funding agencies that a student has completed
fundamental training in restoration ecology, including a one-year
team-based restoration project.
-
Provides
training from theory to practice, giving the student skills
necessary to participate as an effective team member and leader
on challenging restoration projects.
