Peter House is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine. He is the Associate Director of the WWAMI Area Health Education Center, a 20-plus year initiative that works to improve the distribution of health professionals in the five-state WWAMI region. Peter has traveled extensively to rural communities to work with them on strengthening and expanding their health systems. Peter's expertise lies in community development, strategic planning, and group decision-making processes. His academic interests include governing boards, rural hospitals, and problem based learning. Peter has an adjunct appointment in the School of Public Health where he teaches courses in community development. His hobbies include sailing, hiking, and gardening.
