Gina Keppel

Biographical Information

Gina Keppel, MPH, is a Research Scientist with the WWAMI Rural Health Research Center and the University of Washington Institute of Translational Health Sciences. She has worked in the Department of Family Medicine Research Section since 2006 and in public health research since 2000. Her most recent work with the Rural Health Research Center has focused on national dental supply and utilization, the contribution of community colleges to the education of allied health professionals in rural areas, and state policies for employing international medical graduates in underserved areas. Her health service research experience includes both qualitative and quantitative data analysis, project management, and grant development. Her primary research interests are chronic disease management, health promotion, mental health and health disparities. Ms. Keppel received her MPH from the University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine and her BA from Pomona College.
