Program Director: Janet Kelly, Pharm.D.
Program Coordinator: Carrie Yuan, Pharm.D.
The Residency in Pharmacy Practice (PGY1) at UW Medicine is a ASHP-accredited post-graduate program, which provides twelve months of training in all aspects of advanced pharmacy practice: acute patient care, ambulatory patient care, drug information, drug policy development, and practice management. The goal of the program is to assist the resident in developing specific skills and competencies that are needed to assume leadership roles in the profession. Upon completion of the PGY1 program, residents are equipped to succeed in a variety of positions, including clinical pharmacy specialists, clinical faculty, or continuation of postgraduate training in a PGY2 program or fellowship.
