About Inside Track
What’s Inside Track? A news blog for UW Tacoma faculty and staff.
What’s in it? Mostly, brief news about UWT. But you’ll also find features about people and events on campus; monthly columns about the library and commuting; and other photos, videos, links and news of interest to the UWT community.
Whoa, that's a lot. How do I find my way around? Check out our handy-dandy Road Map to Inside Track.
Remember the old Inside Track? Yeah. That was cool.
No, what I meant was: How do I access archives of the old e-mail version? Oh, sorry. You can find the archives here.
Who writes it? Jill Carnell Danseco is the editor, and most of the posts will come from her. You’ll also see stories from other Communications Services staff members, like Beth Luce and Brian Anderson. Carole Svensson (Library) writes the BookDirt column, and Jennifer Burley (Finance) writes Commuting News.
Who reads it? Inside Track is intended for UWT faculty and staff. Anyone can read our stories, but you must log in with a UW NetID to read or post comments.
Why do I have to log in? Because we wanted to create a place where faculty and staff can comment on campus news in a semi-private environment.
You mean I can comment? Oh yeah. Please do. But please, follow the rules. Open, honest and respectful conversation is encouraged. Inappropriate or off-topic comments will be removed.
What's inappropriate content? Glad you asked. Inappropriate content includes anything that:
•is libelous or defamatory
•is obscene or sexually explicit
•violates a person's right to privacy
•violates any local, state, federal or international laws
•degrades others on any basis
•is predatory, hateful or intended to intimidate or harass
•contains inappropriate advertising or business solicitation
•misrepresents your identity or affiliation
What if I have news for the blog? We'd be thrilled. Send it to us at uwtnews@u.washington.edu.
