Service Description: 

This Web publishing environment for the UW community provides separate, dedicated servers for faculty, staff, students, departments, and courses to use.

Service Options: 



  • URL Forwarding or URL Masking is available for an additional fee.

UW faculty, UW staff, UW students, UW academic units, UW administrative units

Availability: 

Servers are available for use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Price: 

This service is included in the Technology Recharge Fee.

A basic limit of 1 GB is included for faculty, staff, and shared accounts.

Additional data storage for this service is available for a fee. To increase your storage limit, go to the Manage Your NetID Resources page at https://uwnetid.washington.edu/manage/, where you can enter a budget number and set the amount. The rate is $.35 per GB per month. Billing begins July 1, 2011.  

URL Forwarding or URL Masking is $50 per URL per year.

The UW Google Apps service has Google Sites for Web site creation.

Service Level Description: 

Servers are available and have good response times 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year. Diskspace used for Web site files are included in the overall use of central storage for the user account, which can be seen at https://uwnetid.washington.edu/disk/  

Effective March 1, 2011: Data storage limit for faculty, staff, and shared accounts is 1 GB.

Effective July 1, 2011: Additional space is available; see Price above.
