To be considered for admission into the UW IGERT on Multinational Collaborations on Challenges to the Environment, you must apply for admission to University of Washington Graduate School, and to the Ph.D. program in departments that will support your interests and involvement in this IGERT. Concurrent application is made for admission to the IGERT program, following instructions below. If you are already a graduate student at UW, you can apply directly for consideration to our IGERT, following a slightly different procedure, also outlined below.
Please note that IGERT Fellowships are only open to US citizens, holders of green cards, or those with refugee status in the US. The final cohort has been accepted for this IGERT therefore we will no longer be accepting applications. Procedure for students applying for graduate studies at the UW If you have a bachelor's or masters degree in an appropriate field of science or engineering, you apply to our new IGERT Program by sending your materials (obtainable from your Department of choice) to the University of Washington Graduate School, indicating to which Department you wish to be admitted. Your application will then be considered by your chosen Department in its usual way. Application requirements and deadlines are those of your chosen Department. There are three additional steps to indicate that you wish to be considered for admission to the IGERT on Multinational Collaborations on Challenges to the Environment: 1) Send us one copy of your complete departmental application packet, including: Graduate School application materials Transcripts GRE scores Any additional forms/statements/materials required by the Department(s) to which you are applying Mail your packet to: Nancy Meenen Admissions, IGERT University of Washington Box 352120 Seattle, WA 98195-2120 2) Instruct each person sending a letter of recommendation for you also to send a photocopy to the above address. 3) With your application, include a cover letter expressing your interest in IGERT. This cover letter, one to two single-spaced pages, should address the following questions:
