Research

Three ongoing projects:
  1. A study of the short and long term rates of erosion in the Three Rivers Region, Yunnan, China. The erosion rates will be analyzed for human impacts on erosion. The data will also be used to determine if there is a relationship between erosion and tectonics in the region. (dissertation research)

  2. A study of the impact of land use on erosion in a Yangjuan, Sichuan, China, a small minority village in the southwestern part of the province.

  3. A study of anthropogenic hillslope terraces in Jiuzhaigou National Park, China.
Pedagogical Internship

As a requirement of my IGERT fellowship, I designed, conducted and evaluated a pedagogical internship embracing environmental challenges, cultural and national perspectives, and interdiciplinarity. Poster
