nofate@u.washington.edu Major Chinese and Economics, University of Washington Certificate in Environmental Economics, University of Washington Research summary From an economic point of view I am increasingly concerned with the United States dependence on foreign energy sources and also the soon to be cataclysmic environmental disaster which will occur in China if drastic measures aren't taken in the near future which will ultimately affect the world's economy. From an environmental aspect I am mainly interested in research regarding air pollution specifically regarding Global Warming and I am planning to incorporate the Kyoto Protocols into my future research projects. (January 2006) Highlights - This would be my fifth year at the University of Washington for which I am unashamed but a little akward about. - Concerning my majors I do have a few more concrete interests including Modern Chinese literature especially early 20th century literature concerning the chaotic period between the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the PRC. - A partner and I also have just recently founded a new Non-profit Organization which is promoting better environmental education throughout the world through educational and professional exchanges as well as volunteer work. - I have an extreme obsession with rare music from all over the world and a desire to visit all the nations of the world. In otherwords I'm an optimistic overachiever or in more modern terms a geek :-)
