Research summary

I did research of evolution and biogerography of oaks during my exchange year in the department of biology at UW. The goal of this project is to sequence a gene from species within Quercus and use the data to infer a resolved phylogeny. We also investigated the biogeographic implications of the phylogeny -- that is, what it can tell us about the geographic origin and dispersal of various major groups.
