Research summary

I am researching the reforestation efforts in three different areas of Baiwu township in Sichiuan Province, China. I am looking into government management and policy regarding forestry and reforestation. I am also investigating the local attitudes and involvement concerning the forested/reforested areas. Furthermore, I am doing on site field work to investigate the locations, biotic and abiotic characteristics, and the conditions of these sites in order to assess the relative sustainability. (February 2006)
