Another “unconference” will be taking place on the University of Washington campus this weekend. It will be taking place October 13 and 14 from 9AM to 5PM in Mary Gates Hall. Students get in a discounted price of just $20 while professionals will have to pay $60.
A variety of topics will be discussed at InfoCamp this year, with anything relating to the intersection of information, people and/or technology considered fair game. Expect to listen and learn about any of the following:
- User experience
- Information architecture
- User-centered design
- Interaction design
- Library & information science
- Online search
- Information management
The unconference style of InfoCamp creates a very participatory atmosphere unlike most conferences where you merely listen, so a lot of interesting conversations and interactions are likely to develop in each session. The low cost of entry compared to other conferences also makes InfoCamp appealing. Check it out!
