Designing for the Web
After you have decided on the kind of information to include on the project
Web site, you will need to create the actual content to publish on the
site. Write the text and create the images that you want to use on your
Web site in whatever applications you are comfortable using, such as Microsoft®
Word®. When you are satisfied, you will need to convert them into
a format such as HTML that can be displayed in a Web browser.
Some word processing and page layout software packages can convert your
work to HTML. You can also duplicate your work in a WYSIWYG ("What
You See Is What You Get," pronounced "wizzywig") Web editor
such as Macromedia® Dreamweave®r or Microsoft® FrontPage®.
See Catalyst's comparison
of popular Web editing software for more information about some of
these packages.

pages on which you can base your site.
