MCLUST

MCLUST is a software package for model-based clustering, discriminant analysis, and density estimation including hierarchical clustering and EM for parameterized Gaussian mixtures + Poisson noise.

Academic Licensing

MCLUST is free for internal academic use, subject to the license agreement described at http://www.stat.washington.edu/mclust/license.txt

All use of MCLUST in conjunction with fee-based products or services (such as consulting) is subject to the commercial license described below.

Commercial Licensing

The Commercial License applies to all those using the MCLUST software in conjunction with fee-based services or products as well as for internal use by commercial and most nonprofit organizations. Some nonprofit organizations may qualify for free use under the academic license; contact license@u.washington.edu for inquiries.

License revenue for MCLUST is deposited in a University research budget for the continuing development of the software and the developers of the software receive no personal shares of the license revenue.

Download the Express License (PDF file), sign it, and return it to UW TechTransfer. The conditions and financial terms of this license apply only to those who sign and return it "as is." Some Express Licenses may be modified for an additional cost.
