Directions to Evergreen

Be sure and click on the related link to the City of Olympia (lower left), and
this will give you an idea of what there is to see and do. There is also a link
to the farmers market, where you can find the list of eateries for our
lunchtime eating.
Parking is $1.25 for the entire day. You can turn either
direction past the ticket booth, and park anywhere that is not marked
handicapped or carpool. Do not park at the meters or you will get a ticket even
if you have a parking pass. Walk toward the campus through the trees and you
will come out on Red Square. The Library building with its clock tower is
directly in front of you. Enter through the main doors and go past the grand
stairs on the left. Just past the stairs is the entrance to the library proper
to the left. Go past the circulation desk toward the right and go up the
stairs. At the top of the stairs, go past Government Documents and walk through
the book stacks to the back wall. Then you will see the door to the
kitchen/conference room. We are meeting there for the morning.

The Governor Hotel in downtown Olympia is central to the capitol campus as well as to the farmers market. It is close to a number of restaurants. It is also close to the Capitol Lake, which is a nice 1.5-mile walk around the lake.
Below are Restaurants that I enjoy, and are all located in the downtown area and does not require a car. The last link is an overview of dining in Olympia, and includes other places. Wagners European Bakery and Café is a great place for breakfast if you like pastries.
