"Get to Know Your Local Parks" Event Showcases Recreational Opportunities in Ellensburg

In June, Shape Up Kittitas County partnered with the City of Ellensburg's Park and Recreation Department and the Ellensburg School District to showcase four local parks. A 3-mile walking route was planned through the parks and along the new Ellensburg High School Fitness Trail. Activities in each park were highlighted and exercise science students from Central Washington University were available to demonstrate the fitness trail equipment. More than 65 people participated in the event.

Target Audience: Ellensburg Residents

Partners: Shape Up Kittitas County, City of Ellensburg Park and Recreation Department, Ellensburg School District, Central Washington University Exercise Science Students, KQBE Radio Station
