The USDA and the Office of Advocacy and Outreach Farmworker Coordinator will host a bilingual (English and Spanish) webinar to address the challenge of feeding children during the summer, when school is out, in farmworker communities. The webinar will provide information about how SFSP works, who is eligible, how you can get involved this year, and how to get the word out to farmworking families about SFSP. The webinar will also cover the resources available in English and Spanish to help you get started, highlight successful programs and outreach practices, and provide an opportunity to have your questions answered by FNS Program experts in English and Spanish. The purpose of this conference is to collaborate, educate and act together as a community of breastfeeding supporters to learn about and counter institutional racism and social injustice in perinatal support services. The event is a collaboration of the Breastfeeding Coalition of Washington, Mahogany Moms Breastfeeding Coalition, Native American Breastfeeding Coalition of Washington, and Community Breastfeeding Activists.
