There are a number of postdoctoral/professional scientist positions immediately available in Wang Lab [Biophotonics and Imaging Laboratory (BAIL)], Department of Bioengineering and Department of Ophthalmology, University of Washington, Seattle, WA. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our vibrant lab to develop innovative optical imaging techniques (e.g. optical coherence tomography and angiography) for ophthalmology, dermatology and dentistry applications. Clinical translation is the focus of our research activities. Preferable candidates with experiences on optical coherence tomography (preferably swept source OCT), and/or optical imaging systems will be highly desirable for these positions. Practical hands-on skills are a strong plus. The candidates must hold a doctoral degree in, for example, Instrumentation, Biomedical Optics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering etc. The candidates are also required to have good communication skill, willingness for working with others (both internal and external, basic and physician scientists), and are expected to independently write and publish scientific papers. Interests and/or experience in commercialization would be also a plus.
