Current Research Interests:
Ward Lab is an interdisciplinary laboratory focusing on different facets of evolution, ecology and biology. Currently members of the lab are examining the nature of the Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction event with studies in France and Spain involving detailed field work which concentrates on ammonites and bivalves. Ward Lab is also researching speciation patterns and ecology of the living cephalopods Nautilus and Sepia.
Recently the lab has been evaluating the effects of hydrogen sulfide on modern taxa.
