In 2005, as a result of a legislative request, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Department of Health collaborated to create guidelines for teaching sexual health. Numerous stakeholders provided expertise and input. The Guidelines represent the most current thinking on science based comprehensive sexual health education.
