Goals
The Coordinated School Health Program “Healthy Schools: Successful Students” work plan is organized around four goal areas:
Goal 1: Infrastructure
Supporting reorganization, policies and procedures at the state level to effectively coordinate resources, programs and services to support the health and academic success of school aged youth
Goal 2: Integration
Supporting schools to take a coordinated approach to school health and integrate effective policies, programs, strategies and curricula to reduce unhealthy behaviors in school aged youth
Goal 3: Collaboration
Supporting communication, the sharing and ideas and collaboration between agencies, districts, schools, families and communities to promote a coordinated approach to school health at the state and local level
Goal 4: Assessment
Supporting regular assessment of the impact of the Coordinated School Health Program at the state, district, school, student, family and community level, and to use this information to improve the approaches and activities of the program |
