Faculty Affiliate Gunnar Almgren
, Associate Professor, School of Social Work, is a social demographer with particular interests in health care policy and the social determinants of health. His research interests include the study of the effects of racial segregation and economic disadvantage on urban mortality trends, health care policy effects on the health care safety net, and the study of the influences of race, social class, nativity, and gender on the educational and employment trajectories of adolescents and young adults.
