2011-2013 Chien-Hao Fu

SOCIAL POLICY RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP: 2011-13

Chien-Hao Fu, a third-year student Ph.D. in Economics, is studying the relationship between aging and income security. Chien-Hao has done work investigating the consequences of declining assets and increasing needs for care as individuals age, with an emphasis on the role that social insurance can play in that equation. For his placement, Chien-Hao is hoping to work with a state agency to investigate the effectiveness of social insurance in helping the elderly meet their needs for health care and avoid poverty.
