Welcome to the Atkins Research Group, in the University of Washington's Department of Medicinal Chemistry. We study the structure and function of proteins, with a particular emphasis on the mechanism of drug metabolizing enzymes from the Cytochrome P450 (CYP) and Glutathione-S-Transferase (GST) superfamilies, using a wide variety of biophysical techniques.
