Directions

The UW Women’s Center is housed in Cunningham Hall on Steven’s Way, just inside campus near the entrance on NE 40th and 15th Ave NE. From 15th, take NE 40th past the parking gate onto the UW grounds. Turn right at 4-way stop onto Stevens Way (the road that winds around the University). Cunningham Hall is the first building on your left.

Driving Directions:

From I-5: Take the 45th Street exit. Go east until you reach 15th Ave. NE then turn right. (Follow directions above.)

From 520: After you cross the floating bridge on 520, take the Montlake/ University of Washington exit and turn right onto Montlake Blvd. Get in the left hand lane and turn left onto NE Pacific Street (by the UW Medical Center). Turn right on 15th Ave NE.

Walking Directions to Classrooms:

Chemistry Library Building: (not to be mistaken for the Chemistry Building): The Chemistry Library Building is next door to the Women’s Center on Stevens Way.

Architecture Hall: Right across from the Women’s Center on Stevens Way, or the first building on your right on Stevens Way when you enter onto NE 40th.Johnson Hall: When you enter campus on NE 40th, keep going straight (do not turn on Stevens Way). When you come to the end of the circle, look for Johnson Hall on your right.

Johnson Annex: (not to be confused with Johnson Hall). The Annex is the small building directly behind (east) of the Women’s Center. To get there, walk through the parking lot on the north side of the Women’s Center. Turn right on the narrow driveway between the Women’s Center and Johnson Annex. Room 110 is the first door on the right inside the building.

Bagley Hall: To reach Bagley Hall, take the entrance to campus at NE 40th, go straight ahead at the circle and walk past Johnson Hall (do not turn on Stevens Way). Turn right on the wide main walkway that points to the large pond/fountain in the lower quad. Bagely is the building directly to the right of the fountain. (Take a few moments to walk by the rose garden and to see the stunning view of Mt. Rainier – if it’s out!)

Gould Hall: Gould Hall is not actually on the main campus. It is at the SW corner of 15th Ave NE and NE 40th. It is the newer Architecture Building (a gray concrete building).

Bryant Building: (also headquarters for the UW campus police), is on NE Boat Street, which is along the shores of Lake Union. Take 15th Ave. to the far south end (by the lake) and turn right on Boat Street. There is public parking across the street (bring dollar bills) and some meter parking on the street (bring quarters).

Please allow yourself plenty of time for parking and finding your classroom. Call 206-685-1090 if you need more information, or you have suggestions for clarifying our directions.
