How to Register: You can register via phone using a credit card, by called 206-685-1090. You can also mail in the Registration Form (with credit card number and signature, or a check) from one of our catalogs and mail it to UW Women’s Center, Box 351380, Seattle, WA 98195-1380. Finally, you can register via fax by faxing this same form with a credit card number and signature.
Please note: It is not secure to send a credit card number via email. We will never ask for this information in an email and suggest that you call, mail, or fax your information instead.Registrant responsibility:You will NOT receive a printed confirmation—course dates, times and locations are included with course descriptions in the catalog and on our website. If you need directions, call us at 206.685.1090 or go to our website. Feel free to call us to confirm your registration prior to the start of your class. The Women’s Center will notify you of any changes. A service fee will be charged for returned checks.
Class cancellation policy: If a class is canceled by the Women’s Center for any reason, you will be notified one to two days in advance, and the class fee will be refunded to you.
Registrant cancellation policy: Please note that the Women’s Center does not give cash (or credit card) refunds for registrant cancellations. To cancel a class registration, contact the Women’s Center at least 5 days prior to the start date of the class to receive a credit voucher worth 100% of the class fee (credit vouchers worth 50% of the class fee will be given for cancellations made less than 5 days prior to the start of class). Credit vouchers may be applied to any class offered by the Women’s Center and are good for up to one year. Credit vouchers are not given out once a class has started.
GRE prep & basic math refresher registrant cancellations: The $15 processing fee is not refunded if the student cancels their registration for the GRE Prep Course or the Basic Math Refresher. To cancel, contact the Women’s Center at least 5 days prior to the start date of the class to receive a refund of 100% of the class fee; for cancellations made less than 5 days prior to the start of class, only 50% of the class fee will be refunded. Refunds are not given after the class begins, including no shows or missed classes. Missed classes can be made up in other sections if offered in the same quarter.
Processing fee: Each registrant will be charged a $5 processing fee once per quarter, regardless of number of courses taken. The processing fee charged for the GRE Prep Series and Basic Math Refresher is $15. The processing fee helps to support program operating costs and is non-refundable.
Refunds:In the event that the Women’s Center cancels a class, all registrants will receive a full refund of the course fee.
Check processing: The Women’s Center submits all check payments for Lifelong Learning Classes to the UW’s Student Fiscal Services office, which converts check payments into electronic fund transfers. The funds will be withdrawn against your bank account the same day the check is received by that office.
