The Woman’s Century Club, a social club for women founded in 1891 in Seattle by noted suffragist Carrie Chapman Catt, is pleased to announce our $2,000 scholarship for the upcoming academic year.
The scholarship is open to all junior women who exemplify our club’s traditions of female leadership and service, are U.S. citizens, and are enrolled in a Seattle college or university.
Applications will be accepted from April 1 to June 30.
An application form can be downloaded from the Scholarship page of our website, www.womanscenturyclub.org.
If you have any questions, I can be reached via email or by phone at 206.402.3880.
Since its founding in 1891, the Woman’s Century Club has provided annual scholarship support to deserving women through local colleges and universities.
The club today continues that tradition by awarding a scholarship each year to an outstanding junior woman student, at a Seattle college or university, who exemplifies the traditions of female leadership and service that our club’s founders sought to encourage. The scholarship for the 2013-14 year will be $2,000.
Applications are accepted from April 1 to June 30. Click here to download the application form; if you have questions, email our Benevolence and Scholarship Committee chair.
