Scholarships

The UW Women’s Center offers resources aimed at increasing access to education for campus and community members. We maintain updated Scholarship and Financial Aid materials for use during our regular hours of operation (9-5, Mon.-Fri.)

The Women’s Center’s administered scholarships:

Meena Vashee Scholarship is awarded to one individual each year who is a survivor of domestic violence or the child of a survivor. You must be a UW undergraduate student to apply. The scholarship is awarded in the amount of $2000. This application is now open! The deadline is March 27th, 2017. Here is the application!

 

The Judith M. Runstad – Wells Fargo Washington Women’s Roundtable Scholarship is awarded to one woman each year who is aiming to advance their career in technology, innovation, business, engineering, health, and/or real estate. You must be entering into or currently enrolled in an eligible graduate-level or continuing education program at the University of Washington and show a commitment to the community. The scholarship is awarded in the amount of $4,000-$6,500. Application period has been closed.

 

 

Edith Langley Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one  individual each year who is presently enrolled in or has been admitted to an undergraduate Nursing Program in Western Washington. The scholarship is awarded in the amount of $250. (More information about this scholarship will be posted soon.)

 

Habib Making Connections Scholarship was endowed by the Habib family to support underrepresented, economically disadvantaged students pursuing degrees in the Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) fields.  Due to a generous donation from the Habib family, the Making Connections Program will be awarding scholarships to two students each year.
