Program Overview
Making Connections is a high school outreach program offered through the University of Washington Women’s Center. Making Connections provides strategies and skills training to help high school students succeed, prepare for higher education, and explore careers in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.
Mission
To bridge the divide of underrepresented populations in higher education and STEM fields.
This program supports underrepresented and first generation students through the college admissions process.
Class of '08
::100% will be attending post secondary education
::88% will be attending 4yr institutions
::12% will be attending 2yr institutions
::93% of the students that applied to UW were accepted!
