The UW Women’s Center keeps a Scholarship Binder and other resources on Financial Aid in our library on the first floor of Cunningham Hall. These materials are available to use at the Women’s Center during our regular hours of operation – Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Please call our office with any questions – 206-685-1090. The Women’s Center has also created a Financial Aid Information & Community Resources for Students booklet. Copies are available at the Women’s Center or you can download the pdf. For UW students, you can find more information on undergraduate financial aid from the UW Financial Aid Office and on graduate student funding through the UW Libraries Grants & Funding Information Service. The Women’s Center also administers two scholarships each year. These are awarded at the beginning of each academic year (September). Meena Vashee Scholarship for survivors of domestic violence or children of survivors. This scholarship is for UW undergraduate students. Edith Langley Memorial Scholarship for Nursing Students. This scholarship is for students with undergraduate status presently enrolled or admitted to a program of nursing in western Washington, working on a bachelor’s degree in nursing. |
