UW Women's Center

Scholarships

The UW Women’s Center offers resources aimed at increasing access to education for campus and community members. We maintain updated Scholarship and Financial Aid materials for use during our regular hours of operation (9-5, Mon.-Fri.)

The Women’s Center administers three scholarships each year:

Meena Vashee Scholarship is awarded to one individual each year who is a survivor of domestic violence or the child of a survivor. You must be a UW undergraduate student to apply. The scholarship is  awarded in the amount of $2000.

Edith Langley Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one  individual each year who is presently enrolled in or has been admitted to an undergraduate Nursing Program in Western Washington. The scholarship is awarded in the amount of $250.

Habib Making Connections Scholarship was endowed by the Habib family to support underrepresented, economically disadvantaged students pursuing degrees in the Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) fields.  Due to a generous donation from the Habib family, the Making Connections Program will be awarding scholarships to two students each year.
