The Habib Making Connections Scholarship was endowed by the Habib family to support underrepresented, economically disadvantaged students pursuing degrees in the Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) fields. Due to a generous donation from the Habib family, the Making Connections Program will be awarding scholarships to two students each year.
In order to qualify for the scholarship students must be:
- An alumni of the Making Connections Program
- Entering the University of Washington as a Freshmen
- From an underrepresented, economically disadvantaged background
- A declared major in a STEM field
- Demonstrate financial need
Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 per academic year, renewable for four years. In order to renew the scholarship students must maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and must have declared a major in science, technology, engineering, or math.
Please submit the application no later than Friday, May 14th, 2012. Be sure to share with us any information about yourself that would assist the scholarship review committee in making the best possible decision.
