Index Seminum
The Washington Park Arboretum was founded in 1934
and seed exchanges were commenced the same year. Since that time, seed exchange has continued to play a vital role in building a diverse botanical collection.
Within a few years, the first Arboretum seed list was printed. This publication continues to be produced and is currently distributed to 454 botanical gardens and universities in 59 countries. All seed offered through the Arboretum seed list is wild collected, well-documented and of species native to the Pacific Northwest.
