The truly striking Mahonia 'Arthur Menzies'
is a sight to behold in early winter. This is a bold plant that
definitely makes a statement and needs plenty of room in the garden.
A wonderful ground cover for dry shade areas, Epimedium, is
growing at the base of the Mahonia toward the left of the photo.
