South Entry/Madrona Terrace Project Approved Overview

South Entry/Madrona Terrace Project Public Meeting November 2004

South Entry Charette #1 Notes

Pre-Schematic Concept from Charette #1

The University, City and the Arboretum Foundation are working together to implement the first master plan project, the South Entry/Madrona Terrace Project. This project was prioritized because of its visibility and the ability to fulfill the primary elements of the master plan - conservation, education and recreation. This project will improve the southern entry to the Arboretum by renovating existing Arboretum features and developing new elements that are recommended in the Arboretum Master Plan. The City of Seattle hired Portico Group to refine the approved master plan project and produce schematic designs and cost estimates. The Arboretum Foundation, UW and Parks will consider options for raising the funds needed top complete design and construct the improvements. Schematic Design will be completed in early winter 2005.
