Robert and Louise Harris Endowed Scholarship

December 14, 2005 featured the surprise announcement of the Robert and Louise Harris Endowed Scholarship. The endowment, established by the Harris Group, was presented by John Logsdon and Amy Walker during Bob’s retirement as founder, Chairman and CEO of the Harris Group. The scholarship recognizes Bob’s remarkable leadership and contributions to the pulp and paper industry during a career that spans nearly 50 years plus the essential support provided by Louise. Bob and Louise’s passion for students and education are represented in this endowment, said John Logsdon, Senior Vice President of the Harris Group. Distributions will provide merit scholarships to students majoring in Paper Science and Engineering at the University of Washington. We are grateful for this recognition of Bob and Louise and for the addition to our scholarship endowment remarked Miles Hewitt, Foundation President.
