O1  1 - 0           Twigs, needles, etc. (l and f layers).

A1  0 - 9           Dark  yellowish brown (10YR3/4); shotty loam; 
                    strong coarse granular structure; hard, 
                    friable, nonsticky, nonplastic; 20% f.shot, 
                    1/4 in. ash on top; abundant all roots; 
                    gradual and  wavy boundary.

B1  9 - 19          Dark yellowish brown (10YR4/4); shotty heavy 
                    loam; weak fine subangular blocky breaking to 
                    moderate coarse granular structure; hard, 
                    friable, nonsticky, slightly plastic; 15% 
                    shot; abundant fine & medium ,common coarse 
                    roots; clear and  wavy boundary.

B2  19 - 25         Dark yellowish brown (10YR4/6); light; weak
