O1  1 - 0           Twigs, needles, etc. (l and f layers).

A1  0 - 8           Dark  yellowish brown (10YR3/4); shotty heavy 
                    loam; moderate medium granular structure; 
                    slightly hard, friable, nonsticky, slightly 
                    plastic; 15% shot, 1/4 in. ash on top; 
                    abundant all roots; gradual and  wavy 
                    boundary.

B1  8 - 18          Dark yellowish brown (10YR4/4); heavy loam; 
                    weak coarse granular structure; slightly 
                    hard, friable, nonsticky, slightly plastic; 
                    10% shot; abundant fine & medium, common 
                    coarse roots; clear and  wavy boundary.

B2  18 - 31         Dark yellowish brown (10YR4/6); light silt 
                    loam; weak medium subangular blocky 
                    structure; slightly hard, firm, nonsticky,
