A1  0 - 9           Dark  yellowish brown (10YR3/4); shotty loam; 
                    moderate medium granular structure; slightly 
                    hard, friable, nonsticky, slightly plastic; 
                    20% shot, 1/8 in.ash; abundant fine & medium,
                    few coarse roots; gradual and  wavy boundary.

B1  9 - 19          Dark yellowish brown (10YR4/4); shotty heavy 
                    loam; weak medium granular structure; 
                    slightly hard, friable, nonsticky, slightly 
                    plastic; 15% shot; abundant fine & medium, 
                    few coarse roots; clear and  irregular 
                    boundary.
