PNW-WREF House Rentals

Pacific Northwest Research Station maintains two houses at the Wind River Experimental Forest available for short and long-term rental through a Special Use Permit. Fee for first 4 nights is $15/person/night, then $10/person/night for the next ten nights. After that rates begin again as stated. Fee for one month, 30 consecutive days, is $280/person.

For reservations and repairs contact the Wind River Canopy Crane Research Facility (wrccrf@u.washington.edu). Guests are responsible for their own bedding as well as cleanup and removal of garbage and recyclables after each stay.

1. Fill out Special Use Permit.
Holder can be an individual, group leader or institution. Only one SUP is needed   per group if paying with a single check or money order. Please note “Conditions” section at the bottom of the second page for holder responsibilities and site           restrictions.

- List dates and number of nights stayed. Calculate total.
- Sign and fill in information requested on the back of the SUP.
- Do not use the SUP if you are a USFS employee and want to pay using a management code. Email wrccrf@u.washington.edu for payment instructions.

2. Make checks or money orders payable to “USDA Forest Service”.

3. Mail SUP and payment to:

PNW-1 (#1319) CCC-era two story house located adjacent to the Wind River Arboretum. Two bathrooms and two bedrooms upstairs one with two and one with three bunk beds. Single bedroom and one bathroom downstairs. Upper story and basement (laundry) are accessible via stairs only.

PNW-2 (#1069) single-story "rambler" style house located 1/2 mile from PNW-1. One bathroom and three small bedrooms.
