The WRITE experience is 20 weeks in length; therefore, any time off (other than long weekends) is discouraged; however, if a student needs time off, he/she must request time off from their primary preceptor and their WWAMI Regional Dean, who will determine if the request is appropriate. Adequate notification should be given to the preceptor before the student leaves the area and it is recommended that the student leave information on how he/she can be contacted while out of town.
