FOA plates

1. Yeast nitrogen base w/o aa & AmSO4 2. AmSO4 3. Tyrosine 4. 100X ura solution 5. 100X trp solution 6. 100X ade solution 7. 10% CAA 8. 50% glucose 9. 5FOA (5-fluoroorotic acid) 10. H2O Heat to about 50 degrees C and stir gently for 1 hour.  Filter sterilize.  In the meantime…. 11. agar 12. H2O Autoclave.  Cool to 50 C. Carefully mix the filtered solution and the autoclaved solution and pour plates.
