Youth Quality of Life-Surveillance Version Instrument (YQOL-S)

YQOL-Surveillance (YQOL-S): A 13 item generic instrument designed for surveillance of the Quality of life of youth and informing governments of current areas of concern.

The Youth Quality of Life Instrument-Surveillance Version (YQOL-S) was devised to complement the Youth Risk Behavior Survey and to inform the Washington State governor. This version was recently expanded; it now consists of 8 perceptual items which may be used with any of the contextual items of the YQOL-R. The total YQOL-S has reasonable psychometric properties and correlates .86 with the YQOL-R total score, indicating that both instruments measure the same concept.
