The Turbulent Reacting Flows Group conducts basic research into how chemicals mix and react in turbulent flows. Applications include ozone depletion in the atmosphere, performance of fossil fuel burning engines, efficient use of fuels, and prevention of smog. Numerical and theoretical approaches are used.
