YOUR PHOTOS IN HISTORY: Manuscripts, Special Collections and University Archives is starting a photograph collection of the recent earthquake. So if you have images of earthquake damage - minor or major - contact them at 543-1929. They are also seeking photographs of people (portraits) who are willing to include written stories of their experiences during the earthquake. These photographs and stories will become part of the permanent historical archive at the UW and available to future researchers. Who knows? Your photos (or you) may wind up in a dissertation some day.
PLANT TALK: The Center for Urban Horticultures Miller Library recently debuted a Plant Answer Line for quick answers to gardening questions. Modeled after the quick reference service so popular in public libraries, the line is tailored to the needs of Pacific Northwest gardeners. To get your gardening answers, call 616-0322.
TOP 10 DEBUT: In last weeks University Week story about U.S. News rankings of graduate programs, our headline said that Occupational Therapy had cracked the top 10 for the first time. Since then we have learned that Occupational Therapy - formerly an undergraduate program - was being rated as a graduate program for the first time. Thus, it made the top 10 on its first try.
