COCA Internship: Social Media & Communications

CoCA, Seattle’s Center on Contemporary Art, has proudly served the Pacific Northwest as a catalyst & forum for contemporary art for 37 years. Our nonprofit art gallery is in Pioneer Square. We are seeking an Intern for an exciting role in support of our Social Media & Communications.

Our Social Media/ Communications Intern will learn the art of communications working alongside our Executive Director and our Development Committee.

Internship length is 12 months.

Time commitment is 10 hours weekly plus 3 gallery docent or event shifts monthly.

CoCA’s Social Media/ Communications Intern will learn new skills in a supportive, dynamic, and diverse environment. We will teach you about social media outreach, E-newsletters, press releases and more.

All CoCA Interns meet amazing local artists, curators, and art lovers. The ideal CoCA Social Media/ Communications Intern is very organized and fun, with extensive writing and social media expertise.

We seek Interns who are accountable, inclusive, passionate about the art world, and invested in learning great communication. Although this is an uncompensated role, there are numerous benefits to choosing a CoCA Internship. School credit is available for all Interns. There is also a CoCA Rewards program based on length of service, including Memberships, discounts, and other benefits. CoCA Interns receive hands-on, project-based experience and mentoring, the opportunity to meet local art professionals, letters of recommendation, and a flexible work schedule.
